2014-2016

These three years were mostly spent in the US, but that doesn't mean we weren't traveling!

In the spring of 2014, Halie and I flew up to Boston for the first time. In that summer, we drove into the Smokey Mountains, staying with friends around the area where Tennessee, Georgia, and North Carolina meet. Then Halie and I drove down to Atlanta to spend a few days there.

That year, we also decided it was time to move to a new city. We had narrowed it down to either Baltimore or Philadelphia so we decided to take a trip in the winter to both, exploring the cities to help us choose which was going to be our new home.

We chose Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! And in 2015, we loaded all our stuff in a U-Haul and moved up north. We spent most of the year learning all the nooks and crannies of our new city, but we took time to head to NYC again (two-hour bus!) and spent a weekend in the Poconos, with a stop-off in Scranton.

In 2016, we drove to upstate New York to spend a few nights near the Canadian border before stopping by Albany. We also had a few more quick trips over to NYC. Our final big trip was first to fly to Seattle, spend a few days, then take an Alaskan cruise up the coast, stopping in Victoria, Canada, on the way back.
